Mardi Gras Masks

Mardi Gras is a popular festival that has been celebrated by people with pomp for generations and will be celebrated for generations to come. The festival originated in France and then traveled to New Orleans to become even more colorful.

This festival is celebrated before the season of Lent

Mardi Gras falls somewhere between February 3 and March 9 every year, depending on the lunar cycle.

Masks were not originally part of the festival, but were introduced along with the costume later on in order to make it grand. Masquerade costume parties are the most popular types of parties ever celebrated. They have even been popularized through Hollywood movies like Van Helsing and The Phantom of the Opera.

Who wouldn't like to hide away their face in a mask and be someone else for a day? Masks are the most fascinating part of the traditional Mardi Gras party, and make the celebration complete.

You don't have to go all around the world searching for your Mardi Gras costume. You could find that perfect costume or masks and feather boas right at your local party stores or stores that sell special costumes. Some of the popular outfits tried by people are the kings, queens, court jesters, clowns and even masquerade costumes.

You could be Batman, Cleopatra, a knight in shining armor, an angel or even a hero for just one day. A Mardi Gras party is the time to let go of yourself and have fun with other people. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and enjoy yourself!
