A Century of Warfare - the Time Life Video Collection

One of the great things about the Time Life video collection is that it provides a great education and a great deal of enlightenment in addition to mere entertainment value. One of the best examples of this fine tradition is the newly released Century of Warfare collection.

This

DVD set includes a complete history of World War II, including many stories that have never been told before. The DVD includes footage that had been kept under wraps for more than half a century, seen here for the first time. The Century of Warfare DVD serves as an excellent visual record of this major turning point in the history of the world. This classic video series takes the viewer behind enemy lines for a look at the real history and the story behind the story. The series includes almost two hours of rare archival footage, collected here for the first time.

Volume IV of the Century of Warfare series starts with the surprise attack on Russia by the Germans. The Germans eventually are turned back from Stalingrad in what would come to be seen as the beginning of the end for the Nazi regime's attempt to take over the world. Other classic moments in this volume are the D-Day invasion and the famous meeting at Yalta that would decide the fate of post war Europe. Relive these classic moments of history through this fine volume.

The next volume in the Century of Warfare series, volume V, focuses on the other part of World War II, the war in the Pacific theater.
